The Business AI Briefing

Agentic AI is moving from chatbot novelty to always-on revenue ops for small businesses — if someone governs what actually runs.

OpenAI's GPT-5.6 preview splits capability into Sol, Terra, and Luna. That makes model selection a pricing, risk, and workflow decision, not a fan-club vote.

Commerce eased access to Anthropic's Mythos for trusted partners, but the bigger issue remains: cloud AI capability can become a regulated access problem overnight.

Wedbush says enterprises are struggling to justify more AI deployment because pilots lack ROI metrics. The expensive bit was never the demo; it was proving anything changed.

Sakana Fugu orchestrates a swappable pool of expert models through one API — frontier capability with a hedge against single-vendor export shocks.

Reflection AI will pay SpaceX $150M a month for GB300 chips at Colossus 2 — a $6.3B lease that shows frontier model strategy is now a compute-vendor bet.

Apache 2.0 weights from 3B edge models to a 675B MoE flagship — another capable option that makes deliberate model choice, cost control, and fallback planning the real work.

Android hints and prediction-market odds are not a continuity plan. Nine days into the Fable 5 export ban, classified red-team reporting reframes what betting on one frontier model actually costs.

Nvidia's Nader Khalil frames production agents as an LLM plus orchestration, tools, and security — the model is interchangeable; the harness is where governance lives.

Z.ai's MIT-licensed GLM-5.2 tops GPT-5.5 on long-horizon coding benchmarks while API output runs roughly $4.40 versus $30 per million tokens — cheap capability is not a continuity plan.

Agentic AI built the machine half of Licklider's vision. Owner-led firms still lose the human half in the inbox — unless someone designs symbiosis around how they actually work.
